I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE SPECIALLY SEN MCCAIN AND PRESIDENT BUSH ARE CRITISIZING OBAMA. I PERSONALLY THINK OBAMA IS BETTER THAN MCCAIN AND BUSH, BUT BOTH OF THEM ARE TRYING TO SCARE US FROM HIM JUST BECAUSE HE'S BLACK. I JUST WNAT PEOPLE TO STOP ACTING CHILDISH AND BEING RACISES! OBAMA IS BETTER AND HE WILL BE THE NEXT AND THE UNITED STATES FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT!
OcToBeR 15Th 2008
oN Thursday October 15th both President Candidates BARACK OBAMA and JOHN MCCAIN had the last debate. It was a really good debate. I have been watching everything which is going on becuase it's very intersting. As you guys can see from my blog that i am supporting Obama becuse i like his views on what he's going to do when he becomes the president. Economy is the biggest issues now a days. I like Obama's Economic policies. I think on the last debate Mccain came back prepared to answer all the questions which were suppose to be asked. HE was tougher than the last two debates. Obama as always was good and answered the questions so calmly and discussed the poliital issue with his opponent. A majority of debate watchers think that Barack Obama won the third and final presidential debate, according to a national poll conducted right afterward. Fifty-eight percent of debate watchers questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll said Democratic candidate Obama did the best job in the debate, with 31 percent saying Republican Sen. John McCain performed best. At one point McCain bore in on details of Obama’s economic and budget proposals, saying they would mean steep tax increases for many Americans. “Why would you want to raise anybody’s taxes right now?” McCain asked. “We need to encourage businesses.”Obama insisted that his plan would raise taxes on only the top 5 percent of earners and accused McCain of proposing to give tax breaks to oil and gas companies. Sen Mccain talks alot about drilling and we have only 3% of the world's oil and Americans use 255 of the world's oil and we have to do somethign about it. At one point the debate got tense when McCain told Sen Obama that he's not President Bush, he might not be Pres Bush but he agrees with him 90% of the time. In my opinion Mccain acted so childish by rolling his eyes and making faces and by calling people's name for example "JOE THE PLUMBER". Another point i want to make is that i notice duruing the debate when Sen mCcain was talking he use the tem as a "I" and Sen Obama used it as an "We" so now we have to think and figure out who we want to be the next president of the US, a person who just want to do everythign by himself or the person who will also listen to our ideas and opinions and do what's best for us and the country.!!!

Science Journal Entry
-Why Energy is an important topi in election?
In Elecctions everything is important but Energy is one of the most important topic becuse we need energy to live in our everyday life. People want to know that becuase of the energy the rates of the gases will increase or decrese in the future. We get energy from many diffrent sources. Petroleum is the main source. Both Obama and McCain want to save non renewable sources. 50 % of the U.S energy comes from Petroleum and we import petroleum from Middle East. Petroleum is a nonrenewable source so it can be finish fromEarth so they want to do something to use other ways to create energy.
- How are McCain and Obama's energy ideas similar? How are they diffrent?
We get energy from Petroluem. We import Petroleum from middle East. Obama's and Mccain's idea is not to depend on the Middle Esat for our Energy. Obama wants to keep $150 billion on new solar power to get Energy.Obama wnats to stop buying Oil FRom Middle East. . McCain's idea is to produce more money, DRill and create new power plans.
My Idea and Opinion:
My idea/opinion about energy crisis is that every problem should end. Americans should use OiL but as much as they need. We should also try to save OiL. We shouldn't waste non renewable sources on the things we don't use that much. In NoRTH aMeRICA WE'VE BEEN USING ALOT OF NON RENEWABLE SOURCES.

Short biography of McCAIN
A multi-term Republican senator from Arizona, John McCain netted broadest public awareness via his successful bid for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination -- and subsequent presidential candidacy. Born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936 and raised in northern Virginia, he ultimately attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis and spent several decades in the United States Navy. The post carried him to Vietnam, where he fell prey to the North Vietnamese as a POW and suffered from intense, traumatic experiences at the hands of his captors (including physical torture). McCain retired from the USN in 1981, but in the meantime served as a Navy liaison to the Senate, and in 1986 won the election to the post of Arizona senator -- a position held through the 2008 election. As a presidential candidate, his espoused opinions were fairly indicative of the Republican cause, including full-throttled support of the controversial Iraq War. Unlike his democratic opponents, McCain seemed inherently willing to toy with his own image; in fact, he hosted Saturday Night Live before and during his campaign and participated in a number of SNL sketches -- inevitably recalling Nixon's "sock it to me" contributions to Rowan && Martin's Laugh-In, decades prior. His acting resumé also includes a cameo appearance in the popular 2005 farce Wedding Crashers. Like his opponent in the 2008 presidential campaign, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, McCain participated as an interviewee in the social-awareness documentary Darfur Now (2007).
